It's an intriguing weapon. Effectively, it's like a light mortar with a camera on it. Presumably, if it's not expended, it can land and be reused, although I've got to admit I wouldn't like to walk up to one after touchdown.

You nailed it shut. The problem is battery tech. The performance of today's electric cars isn't too far off from electric cars built a century or more ago.

Whoever builds the better battery will have a license to print money.

I built it over the weekend. I had everything but the optical drive.
So once I got it booting and set up the BIOS, I created a bootable thumb drive and copied the Win7 install disk it.

Then I put the thumb drive in one of the USB 3.0 ports and hit the reset button.

Installing Win7 from a USB thumb drive to a SSD, faster Windows install I've ever seen!

Of course, they're talking about leaving the car alone for several weeks before the problem occurs. I can't imagine that very many cars are used less than, say, once a month.

Battery technology just isn't there, yet.

The $100K Roadster was the first release product. The Type S sedan is second generation. I was hoping for better.

Ya, I know you can "brick" a gas engine car if you leave it sitting long enough without draining the oil and disconnecting the battery, but that would take longer than it does to drain the battery on a Tesla.

That is probably part of the IC engine being a very mature technology compared to modern electric cars. Electric cars are still luxury item. They aren't robust enough to be in common use yet.

That's interesting technology.

Didn't SJ Game's "Ogre" state that the battlefield had been seeded with drones like this, explaining why there were no hidden movement rules?
